SLIDE SHOW ~ VOICES
VOICES is about people and animals, the signs of today and the signs of days gone past. This slide show is relative to the FACES slideshow, the pictures speak for themselves. Faces are voices, they speak without the necessity for words.
Throughout history the story of people has been repeated, voices for freedom have lived in the past as they live today. Without these voices humanity today would long have been totally absorbed into one of an unimaginable totalitarian kind.
That drive towards totalitarianism has by no means gone away. A 7 billion population world driven by the need for both individual and collective survival, marred by a myriad of ideals and philosophies poses an infinite struggle for purpose and Justice.
If we are to accept that humanity on the whole is nothing but a violent race of beings, then life isn't worth living. Many people gave their life speaking out for change, many continue to do so today, by whatever means at their disposal.
Leadership today shows, as throughout history, that it is determined to sustain the vicious drive towards a de-humanized totalitarian world. That kind of leadership goes directly against the will of people who care to see a world of peace and harmony.
May this slide show remind of those who gave their life for such freedom throughout the turbulent history of mankind, and may those who continue that struggle today open the eyes of those who prefer to keep them closed.

WORDS HAVE DIFFERENT MEANINGS DEPENDING ON THE CONTEXT IN WHICH THEY ARE USED, EITHER WRITTEN OR VERBALLY
Misinterpretation of words, especially in written text, leads to confusion. Confusion by or due to misinterpretation can be created both deliberately and by lack of understanding of language. Both are influential in the perception by either the individual and the collective, from where translation becomes dependent on how an individual or a collective wishes to interpret a message or sentence.
Words are civilization's dilemma. Aside from the massive number of languages and dialects where words can be interpreted as perceived or desired, there exists not one language that serves concise translation from another. Worst of all, in IT digital translation applications many words, especially sentences, paragraphs and articles translate gravely distorted to the point where the entire meaning is totally changed.
Music may be seen as the closest element to Universal Language.
There are no words, there is no numerical, symbolic or alphabetical text in the Universe. There are codes in the Universe, but no words. Human science has been trying to unlock these codes for millenniums, but has only discovered a fraction of what is infinite and unreachable. Yet every musical sound, melody, harmony, rhythm, has a profound effect on human and animal emotions, as well as on plant behavior.
Music without contextual lyrics however, like written text, comprises the elements which lead to subconscious actions without the intermediate, often extensive, drawn out written text. Music is direct, straight from the Universe, the Soil, the Environment.
Music is both the pathway to Peace and Destruction. In the hands of ego and power obsessed individuals or collectives, it becomes a deadly tool capable of leading masses to their own destruction. That tool has been used throughout the bygone eras of slavery driven empires and is used ever more so today as a tool for global mass enslavement. National anthems are such tools, military march music is such tool, pop idol music is such tool, monotonous supermarket and commercial jingles are such tools.
Among the many knowledgeable musicians today, there dwells an underworld of uneducated revolutionary people unwittingly raising mass hysteria through popular teenage impact music which generally manifests in a competitive industry ego journey, in return for which they receive the promotion they seek from commercially motivated entrepreneurs.
At the other end of the extreme lies the Islamic fundamentalist movement which seeks to eliminate music from the face of the Earth in total opposition to Universal Law and their own proclaimed God. But they falter in contradiction by keeping the penetrating monotony of the Muezzins' Adhān (Azan, Athan - call to prayer) hovering over entire towns and cities from the towers of thousand of mosques five times a day.
Music penetrates walls, it penetrates the human skin and reaches deep into the heart and soul of every living being. When humanity learns to listen to music instead of mindless distortion, apathy will change into harmony.
